Hannibal Elementary Student Arrested

A Hannibal Elementary Student is in a juvenile detention facility after an arrest for a suspected burglary.

According to Hannibal Police a surveillance was set up at the Oakwood Elementary school over the last couple of weeks due to a series of break-ins.

After the arrest on Friday, officers searched the juvenile’s home and found several items believed to be stolen from the school.

On Friday, an officer took the student to a juvenile detention facility in Columbia.
