Highway Patrol Releases Numbers From Holiday Counting Period
The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released the results from their 2019 Fourth of July Holiday Counting Period.
Throughout Missouri, troopers worked 376 traffic crashed with 139 injuries and nine fatalities.
Troopers arrested 160 people for driving while intoxicated and 110 were arrested for drugs over the holiday weekend.
On the water, the patrol reports 11 boating crashes with 5 injuries and no fatalities. Twelve arrests were made for boating while intoxicated.
In 2018, four people were killed and 40 people were arrested during the same time period.
