Missouri Tax Revenues Down Through First Half Of Fiscal Year
Missouri tax revenues are down 2.9 percent through the first half of the fiscal, however budget officials believe it will rebound in the coming months.
The state received 4.3 billion dollars in net general revenue from July through December, and that covered the first six months of the 2019 budget year.
That was down one hundred twenty eight million dollars from the previous fiscal year.
The drop was due to individual income tax collection being down 3.7 percent, which offset 4.1 percent growth in state sales taxes.
