Report Shows Seven Hundred Million Dollars in MU Facility Needs
A new report is showing the University of Missouri has over seven hundred million dollars in facilities needs.
The report from the Missouri Department of Higher Education also says more than 40 percent of education and general building on the University’s campus has not been renovated in fifty years.
According to a spokesperson from the university a revamped renovation strategy was adopted in 2009, and under that model officials decide which buildings need complete renovation or removal instead of spending money on smaller repairs.
MU’s deferred annual maintenance is growing at a rate of thirty three million dollars.
