A Jefferson City man has lost his life after a one car accident in Cooper County yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened around 2:30 on Route O, just south of Swan Road.

95 year old Willard E. Meyer failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road hitting a large rock and several trees before overturning.

Meyer was pronounced dead by the Cooper County Coroner.
