A Jefferson City man is being charged with sex crimes and has been arrested.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department Cyber Crimes Task Force say they arrested 24 year old Carter Ballman yesterday (Tuesday) after he responded to a post made by an undercover decoy, masquerading as a 14 year old girl.
According to authorities Ballmann tried to persuade the child to sneak out of her home and also requested nude photos.
Bond has been set at one hundred thousand dollars.
