A tire that blew out on a semi truck is believed to be the cause of an accident and fire on I-70 near Millersburg last (Sunday) night.

According to Millersburg Fire Officials the semi truck which was hauling pork, and other meats was traveling eastbound on I-70 when the tire blew out.

The driver then reportedly exited I-70 and pulled on to the on ramp at Millersburg just before 5 last (Sunday) night.

The driver of the semi was uninjured.

Millersburg, North Callaway, and Boone County fire crews took about half an hour to put out the fire.

The official cause of the fire is still under investigation.
