A 50 year old Columbia Man is facing charges of First Degree Arson After an arrest last (Sunday) night.
According to Columbia Police a female victim reported that James Leroy Bailey Jr. was intoxicated and threatened to kill her and burn down her residence at the 1200 block of Larch Court.
Police say a short time later Bailey Jr. threatened to set the woman’s porch on fire.
Columbia Fire Department put out a fire at the residence, around one thousand dollars in damage was done.
Police report arresting Bailey Jr. nearby the residence where they found a pile of burnt clothing, paperwork, and trash on the concrete patio near the south door where the fire was set, along with two burnt propane bottles.
