A Callaway County man is in jail after he provided a false name to Callway County Deputies after getting pulled over. Rodney Garnett was stopped by police for a lane violation early Sunday morning outside of New Bloomfield.
Garnett reportedly gave a false name to authorities and said he had a valid license. Police later learned that he had his license revoked and was on parole for previous DWI charges. He is currently in the Callway County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
Three Columbia men were arrested early Saturday morning after a fight broke out in Club Vogue, on Business Loop 70 East. According to employees, when the men were asked to leave the club, they started to fight with the workers.
When police arrived they arrested Gary Warren for allegedly attempting to injure an employee with a beer bottle, 2nd and 3rd degree assault and possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested were Larry Patrick and Cory Foster on third degree assault charges.
A Holts Summit man suffered injuries after his motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway and and overturned. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, a motorcycle being driven by 43 year old Oren Barnes wrecked at around 11:00am on RT 179 on Saturday. He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries suffered.
